"The Church May Appear About To Fall"

Let's talk about this prophecy.

I've been thinking about this statement that many of us, raised as Seventh-day Adventists, have heard since we were kids:

SOP Quote:

"The church may appear as about to fall, but it does not fall.

It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out—the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place.

None but those who have been overcoming by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony will be found with the loyal and true, without spot or stain of sin, without guile in their mouths. We must be divested of our self-righteousness and arrayed in the righteousness of Christ. "

Lt 55, 1886, par. 18

For decades I have seen and heard people repeat the first line of this quote above and then comfort themselves by emphasizing the last part of the statement, “but it does not fall”, and they go on about their lives without any further concern.

This is dangerous!

How many ever hear the remainder of the statement? Unless people are actively reading and studying the Spirit of Prophecy writings, which were given to the Adventist people, via the Holy Spirit, to God’s Messenger, Ellen G. White, they would not know.

Look at the rest of this quote.

It remains, while the sinners in Zion will be sifted out - the chaff separated from the precious wheat. This is a terrible ordeal, but nevertheless it must take place.

Did you see that? “Sinners in Zion will be sifted out” and this is likened to chaff being separated from precious wheat as on the threshing floor in ancient times.

This is referring to a separation of God’s TRUE and faithful people, often referred to as “the Israel of God” meaning those who keep all the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus [Rev. 14:12] vs. those unsanctified Christians who pick and choose what they will follow from God’s Word. The latter group, the unsanctified, will be lost just like the 5 foolish virgins in the ten-virgin parable. Read Matthew 25:1-13.

Jesus said in John 17:17, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
Sadly many today don’t know truth because they do not seek it out for themselves as they should. Many are sitting listening to Satan inspired, man-made fables, designed to lead them to the loss of their salvation. Friends, we MUST study God’s Word to learn truth from error.

In the ten virgin parable which Jesus told, notice that all ten virgins were sincere. However, the five wise virgins had something that the other five didn’t. The five wise had the extra OIL, meaning the oil of the Holy Spirit actively working in their lives.

This sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit (oil) is what separates the five wise from the five foolish. The five wise virgins were having their characters being sanctified by the power of the Holy Spirit. And this is what Jesus meant when he told Nicodemus that he must be born of the water AND THE SPIRIT, or he would not enter the Kingdom of God. John 3:1-5. It is not enough to just confess and repent of our sins so that they can be blotted out in the true atonement / judgment happening now, but we must also have our characters purified, sanctified, restored back to the image of Jesus Christ. This is also what the sermon on the mount is all about.

Let’s return to our first statement. "The church may appear as about to fall" --- there must be SOME EVENT that occurs that takes a terrific toll on the world Seventh-day Adventist church. Mrs. White was specifically speaking of the SDA church back in 1886. She wrote for their time and also our time.

What Might That Event Be?

Have you ever considered WHAT that EVENT would be, that could be SO HUGE, as to cause the church to almost fall - AND with a great shifting out of many people?

COULD that be the fallout from this USAID tax payer money and the MILLIONS the church leaders, through (ADRA - Adventist Development and Relief Agency), has taken from them Americans, to engage in operations that will greatly outrage the American public?

I don’t know for sure, nor are we told. This is my opinion. However, the following actions could precipitate this.

Example, the leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church taking MILLIONS from American Tax Payers via USAID to give to ADRA, an NGO to:

1. Fund illegals to come to the USA from foreign countries

2. Fund and make contributions to "climate change"

3. Provide significant contraception/family planning in many countries, and so much more.

Note: None of these above activities is what the Seventh-day Adventist Church was raised up by God to do. To do them is contrary to the true mission God designed for this last day church, whose mission is to teach the 3 Angel’s Messages to the world. The original pillars of truth that God revealed to the early SDA pioneers in the 1800s are still rock solid true and Biblical, to this day. I have studied and verified them from the Bible throughout my life


What Could Happen?

I have heard that President Trump is ordering Zelenski to pay back all the money (billions) that he has received but can’t seem to find.

What would prevent President Trump and DOGE not to also demand that the SDA CHURCH pay back all the MILLIONS they have taken from American Tax Payers to fund their social work projects as mentioned above, as well?

That alone COULD easily bring GREAT REPROACH upon the entire SDA world wide denomination, along with the wrath of the American people !

Again, keep in mind, the great majority of church members have not been aware of this. However, the world church division leaders all sit on the Board of ADRA. What excuse do they have? See the list of ADRA board diretors here.


Regular SDA Church Members Are Unaware of the Funding Source (USAID) of ADRA

The sad part is, the great majority of SDA lay church members have been in the dark about this for decades, yet they will be caught up in this likely crisis sitting on the horizon.

ADRA's social work, has nothing to do with the sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Many have been led to believe that if they give to “ADRA” in their offering plates, they are contributing to world-wide evangelism. Nothing could be further from the truth.

ADRA is an NGO, which means “non-governmental organization”. NGOs are prohibited from sharing any religious beliefs to anyone.


Social Work Is Not the Work God Gave to the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Had church leaders been following the counsel of God’s Messenger for this church, Ellen G. White, they would have known that the work they are doing through ADRA was specifically given in counsel as something NOT to do.

Here is what Ellen G. White wrote/published in her vast collection of writings, referred to as “Spirit of Prophecy”, since it was the Holy Spirit who inspired her writings throughout her life time.

SALVATION ARMY METHODS NOT TO BE IMITATED

"The Lord has marked out our way of working. As a people we are not to imitate and fall in with Salvation Army methods.

This is not the work that the Lord has given us to do.

Neither is it our work to condemn them and speak harsh words against them. There are precious, self-sacrificing souls in the Salvation Army. We are to treat them kindly. There are in the Army honest souls, who are sincerely serving the Lord and who will see greater light, advancing to the acceptance of all truth. The Salvation Army workers are trying to save the neglected, downtrodden ones. Discourage them not. Let them do that class of work by their own methods and in their own way.

But the Lord has plainly pointed out the work that Seventh-day Adventists are to do.

Camp meetings and tent meetings are to be held. The truth for this time is to be proclaimed. A decided testimony is to be borne. And the discourses are to be so simple that children can understand them."

What Do You Think About This?

This whole situation has been weighing heavily on my mind now for days.

WHAT could be the EVENT that makes it appear as though the church is about to fall?

I think, based on where we are at in the prophesied eschatological (last day) events, we are there at "that time" now. I keep anticipating a huge tsunami wave coming in the distance that won't be stopped.

Lord have mercy.

In my opinion, all those involved (the SDA leaders who are on the board of ADRA) need to be seriously REPENTING to God, apologizing to the USA taxpayers and to their own church members who will also bear the brunt of the fall out.

Regardless of what they do, have we not seen time after time in the Old Testament that what God says will happen, does happen?

The same applies to the Spirit of Prophecy writings of Ellen G. White. Reading what she wrote as inspired by God, has proven to be true over and over and often sounds like she wrote it yesterday. These were not her opinions, rather what she was inspired to write and also saw in dreams and visions throughout her entire life. I’ve studied these original writings for years and they are true and authentic. What she says will happen, has happened and is still happening to this very day.

This makes me shudder. But I an see how Mrs. White's prophecy quote above COULD BE (not saying it will) fulfilled. I am referring to the "EVENT" that makes it appear that the church falls -- and a great multitude IN the church will be sifted out like chaff.

Brothers and Sisters, I hope this makes sense to you. Let us all be praying ourselves and praying that the church leaders be repenting and doing all in their power to make things right.

May we all be keeping our eyes on the Lord and following close in His footsteps day by day, doing His will and especially following the Counsel of the True Witness as stated in Rev. 3:18.
